Sports and Migration

In many European countries, certain sports are an important part of the national culture - usually soccer, but also ice hockey and other sports, depending on the country.

At the same time, migration has changed the face of professional sports: Many of the professional athletes that play on our local teams are from other countries. Athletes migrate to other countries if the chances of a career in their home country are not so good. Migrants form their own clubs and teams, or play an important role in local amateur clubs. Racism, just like hooliganism, is a problem among the fans.
